We are seeking a Community Growth Strategist candidate at our headquarters in Burnaby, BC location to join our growing team! This role reports to the VP of Marketing, full-time permanent position with a hybrid schedule. While the position will primarily support Performance Furnishings, this role will also support our other two companies – Source Office Furniture and N9NE Furniture Group.

About the Role
As Community Growth Strategist, this role will build trust, engagement, and regional lead flow through community management, reputation management, and advocacy.
The Community Growth Strategist drives digital engagement, local market presence, and brand reputation. This role builds trusted relationships with customers and partners through strategic content, localized campaigns, proactive reputation management, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and customer success teams.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Community Management
•                    Develop and execute social media content strategy (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, industry platforms)
•                    Create and curate thought leadership, case studies, and partner content
•                    Manage posting schedules and campaigns
•                    Monitor comments, messages, and mentions
•                    Engage with prospects, customers, and partners
•                    Grow and nurture online communities (groups, forums, LinkedIn Groups, etc.)
•                    Support employer branding and recruitment messaging (when relevant)
 
Local & Regional Marketing Strategy
•                    Build local marketing plans aligned with sales goals
•                    Coordinate regional events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
•                    Develop partnerships with local associations, chambers, and business groups
•                    Execute geo-targeted digital campaigns
•                    Manage local sponsorships and co-marketing initiatives
•                    Support account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives at the regional level
•                    Create localized marketing assets and messaging

Online Reputation & Review Management
•                    Monitor and manage reviews (Google, industry platforms, G2, Capterra, etc.)
•                    Respond professionally to positive and negative feedback
•                    Escalate service issues internally
•                    Implement review-generation programs
•                    Track sentiment and reputation KPIs
•                    Develop crisis response protocols for public issues

Brand Advocacy & Voice
•                    Maintain brand voice and tone across channels
•                    Train internal teams on brand and social best practices
•                    Activate employee advocacy programs
•                    Identify and nurture brand ambassadors (customers, partners, employees)
•                    Ensure messaging consistency with corporate strategy

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
•                    Track engagement, growth, and conversion metrics
•                    Monitor local campaign ROI
•                    Analyze reputation trends
•                    Produce monthly/quarterly performance reports
•                    Use insights to optimize content and campaigns

Cross-Functional Collaboration
•                    Partner with Sales on lead nurturing and ABM
•                    Work with Customer Success on retention and upsell messaging
•                    Coordinate with Product/Operations on announcements
•                    Support PR and Communications
•                    Feed customer insights back into leadership

Platform & Tool Management Goal:
•                    Manage social media and review platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout, HubSpot, etc.)
•                    Oversee CRM and marketing automation integrations
•                    Maintain editorial calendars
•                    Manage vendor relationships (agencies, freelancers)

Qualifications
Required

  • 3+ years of experience in community marketing, growth marketing, digital marketing, or related roles
  • Proven experience growing and engaging online communities
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, community platforms, and audience engagement strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools to measure campaign performance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience working with startups, tech companies, creator economies, SaaS, Web3, gaming, or consumer brands
  • Familiarity with tools like Discord, Slack, Reddit, HubSpot, Notion, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, or CRM platforms
  • Experience with influencer marketing, ambassador programs, or creator partnerships
  • Basic understanding of paid acquisition and lifecycle marketing
  • Event marketing or community event coordination experience


Job Type:                            Full-time, Permanent

Salary Range:                $60,000 to $70,000 per year

Work Schedule:             Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
